Star QB Kainan Manna Transfers from Centennial (AZ) to Lincoln High (CA) for Senior Season
The reigning CIF Division 1 state champions just got even stronger. Quarterback Kainan Manna, Class of 2026, is transferring from Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, to Lincoln High School in San Diego, California, where he will finish out his senior year with the Hornets.
Manna, a highly regarded prospect known for his arm strength and field vision, will join a Lincoln squad fresh off a state title win over Pittsburgh (CA). The Hornets also recently landed another major transfer in Clarence Tucker, who made the move from Edison High School in Miami this season.
At Lincoln, Manna will have an impressive arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Standing tall among them is Braylen Ross, a 6’5”, 210-pound junior tight end who presents a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. He’ll also have the speedy deep threat Draeyen Bridges (Class of 2028) stretching the field, along with versatile running back Rashad Robinson anchoring the ground game.
With these additions, Lincoln appears poised to defend — and possibly repeat — their state championship run.
For now, all eyes will be on San Diego, where Manna could make Lincoln’s already potent offense even more explosive — and potentially the team to beat in California again this year.
What’s Next for Centennial?
Manna’s departure leaves a sizable hole at quarterback for Centennial, which had relied on his leadership and playmaking ability. The Coyotes will now need to turn to their depth chart and develop a successor quickly, eyes seem to turn to Sophomore QB Titus hill who has looked solid all summer with the coyotes with his great touch on the ball and great deep ball accuracy, looking to fill the shoes of manna.
